Highmark QUAD Ski @ WILDERNESS LODGE!!!

HIGHMARK QUAD SKI RACE  – IT’S ON FOR JANUARY 11!!!

After much anticipation and excitement coupled with months of planning, the 32rd annual Highmark QUAD ski race at Wilderness Lodge has arrived. Recent weather events had the January 11 race date in jeopardy, but Mother Nature sent us a good Arctic blast. Ladies and gentleman, the race is on!

The final event of the 32nd annual Highmark Quad games, the 5 mile ski race will kick off with a wave start beginning with the elite racers at 1 PM followed by age group waves (29 and under, 30-49, 50 and over) in 2 min. intervals. The 2.5 mile snowshoe event will start after the last wave of age group skiers. Following the completion of the adult race, the Highmark Quad Kids, sponsored by Wegmans ,will take place for spectator’s, parents, grandparents, and kids to enjoy. Children can choose between a half-mile or 1 mile cross-country ski/snowshoe course. All of the race courses will begin and end behind the Wilderness Lodge with the courses winding through the scenic meadows and woodlands.

Registration is still open for the 32nd annual event with race day registration accepted. Registration will begin at 11 AM at the lodge. YMCA babysitting will be available for the duration of the events, starting at 12:15pm.
