7:00 a.m. – Registration and Check-in Opens
8:00 a.m. – Pool Opens
9:00 a.m. – *All swimmers competing in Fastest Swimmer in Erie County Competition (preliminary heat)
9:15 a.m. – All swimmers with last names beginning A – H
10:00 a.m. – Top 6 males and females in Fastest Swimmer in Erie County Competition (final heat)
10:30 a.m. – All swimmers with last names beginning I – P
Noon – All swimmers with last names beginning Q – Z
*heats may be separated more to adhere to all appropriate COVID-19 policies. These details will be communicated as we move into the fall.
The pool will be available 10-15 minutes before each session for a brief warm-up period. Any stroke can be used during the Quad Swim.
Prizes: Overall top 3 male and female swimmers will earn cash prizes: 1st place – $75, 2nd place – $50, 3rd place – $25. These cash prizes will be awarded based off the 10:00am final heat. You must compete in the Fastest Swimmer in Erie Country Competition to earn cash prizes.
Age group awards will be given to top three males and females: 15 and under, 16-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70-79, 80+
Fastest Swimmer in Erie County Competition: in addition to cash prizes for the top 3 male and female swimmers, we also will crown the Fastest Swimmer in Erie County! Those vying for the Fastest Swimmer in Erie County Title and all elite swimmers will participate in the first heat at 9:00am followed by the a final heat for the top eight males and females at 10:00am. *Male swimmer planning to swim under 60 seconds and females planning to swim under 1:11 should consider swimming at 9:00am in this competition.
Highmark QUAD Kids swim: the kids events will be virtual too!
Due to COVID-19 this year’s Highmark Swim event is only offered as a virtual option. Please contact Kelly Latimer with any questions.
QUAD Swim Scoring – this may not effect virtual events.
If you are participating in the entire QUAD series you will receive 30 seconds for every second of your 100-yard swim time. This will be the time used in your overall QUAD time.
Example: your 100-yard swim time is 1 minute and 13 seconds. You will earn 30 seconds for every second of your 100-yard swim. This would equal 36 and ½ minutes and be the time listed in the overall QUAD series results.
