Throughout the year the YMCA and other local organizations will host clinics, educational sessions and other training events that will help you stay fit and get ready to dominate the QUAD games!  Check back often for new swim, bike, run and ski events!

QUAD Games Ski & SnowShoe Shape Up Class

Are you looking for a new and fun way to prepare for the Highmark Quad Ski (co-sponsored by GE)?! Check out the CC Ski Shape-Up Class at the Downtown YMCA. This class will be held Tuesday and Thursday 5:30-6:30pm, starting January 2-18, 2018. This is 6 classes for $10!!

Not all training for the Quad ski and snowshoe needs to be done out in the cold!!

QUAD Open Swims

CopyrightSunday, March 25 and April 1, 2018 at 6pm – 7pm EUP (McComb Field House).  EUP will be waiving their pool fee to all Quad participants and providing us with 2 lanes.  We will have 2017 Quad Swim ChampionDana Cerroni and her brother Dylan Cerroni (EUP varsity swim team) on deck for tips, stroke analysis and more!  Take advantage of this great opportunity to learn from the best!

YMCA Swim Clinics

Downtown YMCA: Sundays from 2:30pm to 3:30pm (6 weeks)
February 25 – April 15.  Every Sunday afternoon at the Downtown YMCA Pool
Take advantage of their experienced instructors to help you, learn to swim, gain speed or build endurance.

Glenwood YMCA: Saturdays from 8am to 9am (5 weeks)
March 24 – April 21.  Every Saturday morning at the Glennwood YMCA Pool, join Lynn Fallon to help you improve your swimming: learn to swim, gain speed or build endurance!

QUAD Bike Group Rides

The Highmark QUAD Bike (co-sponsored by UTZ) will be hosting group rides on the QUAD bike course! These rides will help you prepare for the QUAD Bike on July 14. All levels of riders are welcome – beginner, intermediate and advanced. Whether you are looking to learn the course or complete a workout geared towards building speed, these rides are for you!

These group rides are free and open to the public – whether registered for the QUAD or not. Riders just wanting to complete in the QUAD Bike as a single event are welcome! Join us for a fun evening of riding.

Where: QUAD Bike Start Line – Edinboro University, Perry Lane (next to Football Stadium)

When: Monday, June 11 and 25

Time: 5:45pm – we will depart promptly at 6pm

Edinboro Group Rides

CopyrightStarting the first Wednesday in April at 6:00pm a group of riders departs Edinboro University at 6:00pm for a 30-50 mile ride.  Riders are broken into a A, B and C group (sometime D depending on how many riders show up).  Rides meet at the football stadium parking lot along Perry Lane and leave promptly at 6:00pm.

Group A: averages 20+ mph
Group B: averages 17-18mph
Group C: averages 15-16mph
Group D: averaged less than 15mph

 

Girls Gone Cycle

A women’s cycle group that encourages inclusion to all fitness levels.  Group rides are held every Monday at 6:00pm (April – August) at Walnut Creek Middle School.  Join their group on Facebook or see their website for more details.
